Scientist and management students teams

The Scientist and management students teams practice brought together two worlds and two cultures, uniting the representatives of scientific and business sectors into small teams with the aim to elaborate commercialisation scenarios for the new technologies developed in Latvia. The practice was seeking to creatively address the existing gap between these two communities by networking its members, “forcing” them into better communication and cooperation though common work in small teams. The results of these efforts was new knowledge and experience gained on both participating sides,
scenarios for bringing the new technologies into the market, and personal networks created for more productive, creative and innovative work in the future. The objective of the practice was to facilitate the technology transfer between scientists and business students by closing the gap between the mindsets of people working in science and business sectors as well as between scientific work and what are perceived as the market needs.
