Creative Summer Groups

The Creative Summer Groups was a practice initiated in Iceland in order to provide young aspiring artists with the opportunity to work during their summer holidays on their own creative projects. At the same time, the Creative Summer Groups contributes to the development of cultural events in the city of Reykjavík. The goal of the Creative Summer Groups is twofold. First it aims at providing young people with the unique opportunity to develop their artistic skills through a personal project. It also encourages them to be responsible and to be an active participant to the cultural environment of their community.
