The Czech artist Petr Nikl has, together with other 15 creators, conceived an interactive exhibition which is being presented in Brussels as part of a world tour; it is also included in the cultural programme of the Czech EU Presidency.
The popularity of the exhibition stems from the originality of its conception. You won’t see any signs saying “Don’t touch the exhibits”; on the contrary, it is actually necessary to touch them! The installed instruments and objects do not contain any computers, recorded music or film loops. Human energy and creative imagination are the only things that can bring them to life, set them in motion and make them ring out.
The exhibition will take place in Brussels during Couleur Café, a Music Festival dedicated to all currents of urban music across the world. The exhibition is organised under the patronage of Jàn Figel’, European Commissioner for Education, Training, Culture & Youth will be open from the 16th till the 23rd of June and during Couleur Café Festival on 26, 27, 28 June.
The Press Conference for the opening of the exhibition "Orbis pictus" will take place in the presence of Ms. Odile Quintin, Director-General DG Education and Culture and will be followed by a cocktail. Please confirm your participation by sending a reply to: p.madry@media-consulta.com
