The CEI VF, to be held in close connection with the Venice Biennale opening, is an activity of the international network Continental Breakfast that fosters the creation of partnership projects and multidimensional capacity building exchange programmes in the field of contemporary art in EU. The meeting whishes to contribute to the European Year’s issue, focusing on current debates in the art field about the new use of images created for mediation and transmission. Its key questions will include: What are the criteria of evaluation and acknowledgement currently used by curators to define and distinguish the cultural innovation (and the responsibility) of contemporary visual arts? Which are today the appropriate and delegated places to receive and to promote artistic creative innovation?
