The national conference of Turkey on the European Year of Creativity and Innovation (EYCI) is going to be held on 9 April 2009 in the capital city of Ankara.
Turkey: National launch conference and valorisation events

The conference is organized by the Centre for European Union Education and Youth Programmes, the National Agency for Lifelong Learning and Youth in Action Programmes and national coordinator of the Year in Turkey. Over 300 registrations have been made to participate in this flagship event.

 

Intended as a major platform for policy discussion as well as for sharing project results, the conference will host high level policy makers and stakeholders from several Ministries, relevant government agencies, educational and scientific institutions and project coordinators in addition to representatives of social partners and business world.

 

In the plenary session, following the opening speeches, presentations will be made by 5 projects having creative and innovative character, thus underlying the practical socio-economical and utilitarian aspects of creativity and innovation.

 

In the afternoon session, there will be 4 parallel panel discussions with the following themes, focusing on theoretical and policy dimensions of the subject:

 

Panel 1: Creativity and Innovation in Education and Training

Panel 2: Creativity and Innovation in Science and Technology

Panel 3: Creativity and Innovation in Culture and Arts

Panel 4: Creativity and Innovation in Economic Development, Entrepreneurship and Design

 

Proceedings and conclusions of the Conference is planned to be published in the form of a book by the end of the year and also shared in the electronic format on the website: http://yenilik2009.ua.gov.tr/
