The André Kertész Photography Museum, an old village house turned gallery-museum, is in Hungary, in Szigetbecse, not far from Budapest. André Kertész spent the summers of his youth in Szigetbecse, experimented with photography, and this is where he made some of his most famous photos. He returned from New York to the village before his death – this is when the Museum was founded.
The André Kertész Photography Competition is organised this year in the framework of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation and is open to all. Maximum five A4-sized hardcopy photos (prints) can be submitted per person. There is no technical specification. The submissions should include the title (in Hungarian or English), the date and place of each photograph, along with your name, address, phone number and email on a separate piece of paper.
The Chair of the André Kertész Photography Competition Jury is Zsuzsanna Ardó, photographer and writer, the curator of the AKPC exhibition. (www.ardo.org)
