Driven by young people, Electric December - Watershed's annual end of year online showcase - showcases original young filmmaking talent and promote cultural exchange through creativity and technology. 2008 was special; thanks to the support of the EC, ED showcased for the first time in its 10 year history shorts by young people from across Europe as part of EYID 2008. This proved a big success, with 1,89,016 Page views from over 90 countries. This year, as part of the European Year of Creativity and Innovation, ED is once again inviting young European creative talent to submit their shorts. Thanks to the EC for their support of 'Young Voices Across Europe' through the Youth In Action programme, young people from eShed.net, Bristol, UK and Skalvijos, Vilnius, Lithuania are working collaboratively to set the agenda for ED09.
