The Jacques Cartier Center includes more than 70 universities, companies and cities of the Rhone-Alps region and Quebec in a structure of scientific and cultural cooperation, which has organized over 360 conferences and scientific meetings since 1987. On the occasion of the European Year of innovation and creativity, the CJC has 4 conversations on the development of knowledge-based cities. The mayors of Montreal, Lyon, Quebec, Grenoble, Bordeaux and Barcelona will share their expectations and intentions. Officials from university campuses will discuss their impact on cities. Business leaders will put forward the best practices in exploitation of research. Creators will explore the relationship between technological innovation and artistic creation.
