It's a place where the community tells children its history, tradition and the sense of being a borderline area, meeting point for Latin, German and Slavic cultures. Here children can be European in a more complete and dynamic way.
Creativity is stimulated through laboratories, animated readings, audiovisual showings and creative approach to new technologies managed by specialised staff. It has no barrier, wide spaces patterned on a childlike basis and a cross-border nature. The BIMBA is managed by the Department for Culture and Creativity, a new structure gathering different sectors as culture, peace, development cooperation, youth and sport policies.
In December the Direction is going to organise both a launch conference of the BIMBA and a workshop aimed at sharing experiences on the role, functions and features that a Multimedia Library for Children should have.
